Ok, enough rain already! I bet you never thought you would hear me say those words, it barely rains in Scottsdale.
I love watching storms move across the valley. The McDowell Mountains look so different and Awesome throughout the day with rain and clouds. But come on now, bring on the sun!
One thing is for sure, the Spring Flowers will be Awesome this year!

Spaghetti Tacos – iCarly Style

by jeffcameron on March 7, 2010

Keeley wanted Spaghetti Tacos for dinner. I thought What? Something they saw on the iCarly show, which is on everyday at the Cameron house here in McDowell Mountain Ranch. We decided to make a kind of pasta bar with different sauces and different toppings and let them go at it. But wait, they stuffed their shells into taco shells and ate them up. They loved it! Check it out!

What a day for the Cardinals. I don’t want to sound like an idiot, this was expected. But did it all have to go down in one day? I started by hearing about Anquan Boldin, now both Dansby and Rolle too! So what do we make of this?

We saw Antonio Smith leave to the Texans last year, he got paid a boat load of money (5 year $35.5 m) and did nothing exciting. Well, he played well, but not worth the big bucks he got paid. Then we look back 2 years ago at the loss of Calvin Pace to the New York Jets, he got a 6 year $42m deal with $22m guaranteed. Those are 2 way over paid players for their production.

The question is what about Dansby and Rolle. Both players have come into their prime and played very well for the Cardinals. We paid Dansby nearly $10m last year as a Cardinal, his contract of $43m over 5 years doesn’t appear to be that much more. But I still question his value. What did he do this year, besides run a fumble back for a touch down in the playoffs? That ball bounced into his arms thanks to Michael Adams.

As for Rolle, I really wanted to see him stay with the team. But the report is that he is now the highest paid safety ever??? What are these teams thinking? OK, found it. 5 year $37m contract with $15m guaranteed.

Were these good moves by the Cardinals or has the team been depleted? Only time will tell. I still think, Pace, Smith and Dansby fit well in our system and played well but were not the Best.

Reports: Karlos Dansby agrees with Dolphins

Karlos Dansy has now signed with the Miami Dophins and Antrel Rolle is a

It didn’t take long for the Miami Dolphins to shore up their linebacking corp after releasing veterans Joey Porter and Akin Ayodele earlier Friday.

Reports from the AP and ESPN say that the Dolphins have agreed to a deal with free agent linebacker Karlos Dansby. According to sources, the contract is for five years and worth $43 million, with $22 million of it guaranteed. If those figures are accurate, the deal will make Dansby one of the NFL’s highest paid inside linebackers.

Dansby was a second-round draft pick of the Arizona Cardinals in 2004 and spent his entire six-year career there. He is the first big addition in what is expected to be a revamped defense under new coordinator Mike Nolan, who replaced the fired Paul Pasqualoni in January. — Arin Karimian

I hate losing a player like this! It happened so many years ago with Aeneas Williams. As a fan, I feel we didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to Aeneas and won’t get a chance with Anquan.

Anquan Boldin was such a tough player, he brought his lunch box to work everyday. To see a receiver crash through NFL professional linebackers and defensive backs like they were college players is amazing, and Anquan did just that. I will miss watching him with my Red Birds, but this is the NFL today. Honestly, was it really that much money? $28 million over 4 years? That is $3million less a year that Larry Fitzgerald is being paid. Would the Arizona Cardinals not pay that amount or was Q done with his AZ run and just needed a change?

In Baltimore he will be THE star! No shadow of Larry. Not only that, he is the missing link that team needs and could be a game changer. We will miss you Anquan

Baltimore Ravens trade for Anquan Boldin

Ravens get Boldin from Arizona

The Baltimore Ravens obtained three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Anquan Boldin in a trade Friday with the Arizona Cardinals.

The Ravens traded third- and fourth-round draft choices next month to the Cardinals for Boldin and a fifth-round pick, both teams announced.

“Anquan is a player who makes the tough catches, and he is outstanding getting yards after catches,” Ravens General Manager Ozzie Newsome said in a written statement released by the club. “He will also help the running game with his blocking skills. He’s a very tough competitor, and with the way he plays with passion, he’ll fit right in with the foundation we have for our team.”

Boldin is scheduled to fly to Baltimore on Sunday and undergo a physical Monday, the Ravens announced. The Ravens will formally introduce him Monday.

According to multiple reports, Boldin agreed to a three-year, $25 million contract extension with the Ravens in conjunction with the trade. He had one season remaining on his previous contract and now is to make $28 million over the next four seasons. The Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots also were reported earlier Friday to be interested in trading for Boldin, who had 586 catches for 7,520 yards and 44 touchdowns in seven seasons with the Cardinals. He had 84 catches for 1,024 yards and four touchdowns last season.
